After she rolled from back to front the first time I started swaddling with one arm out and thankfully she didn't have any issues with the transition. After about two weeks when she was rolling far more regularly I switched to a sleep sack so both her arms were, and again lucky for us, he sleep stayed pretty much the same.

@junebugsmama: I think when he can flip it's safe for him to stay sleeping that way! Just make sure there are no pillows/blankets near him!

@snowjewelz: true. Now I am starting to worry that he may flip over while we are cosleeping and we have a memory foam! It's pretty firm for a memory foam but still...

@junebugsmama: It shouldn't last anyway... I find that they are obsessed with doing one thing and then they move on. And even if he can't flip YET without grabbing his feet to, he will soon enough!

@snowjewelz: it's kind of expensive when I don't know if he'll like it! I am gonna try slowly taking swaddle arm by arm and see. I don't think he can flip in it cause he usually grabs his feet to gain momentum. Just now I tried nursing him lying down for a nap Unswaddled and he got pissed and kept squirming yeying to turn! Which freaks me out on the bed, he hasn't done that yet.

If he can flip I'd def go for zipadee. Mine didn't like it though; she'd stay awake wondering where her hands went lol. She is still in her Magic Merlin Sleep Suit. When she's in it she can't really flip and it weighs her down while still letting her be "free".

Oh I was thinking about ordered zippdezip, would that help in this situation? I forgot to mention he's finally getting really good at flipping over from back to front so I want to ditch swaddle.

I need some advice about swaddle-weaning. My 5m sleeps with me at night and takes his naps in his crib, stroller, or in carrier on me (ring sling). We've been swaddling for naps and bedtime, and I nurse to sleep and lay him down when he's deep asleep, or my husband or babysitter bounces him on exercise ball until he's deep asleep and sets him down then (I am away at bedtime 4 nights per week).

I've started not swaddling him usually for bedtime and he'll stay awake the usual amount of time. I put him in pjs with covered hands because he likes to rub his ears and eyes. I think he's fine then because I just nurse to sleep on the bed and don't have to do a transfer.

I use the miracle blanket and I've had success with leaving his legs out since he's way too long anyways. But just how I tried leaving one arm out and he woke up in 5 min after I set him in crib. He always sleeps in his crib for this nap, and I want to move towards more naps and maybe first nighttime stretch in crib, not less! Any advice?
