1 got 14 of the 4 pack a&a swaddlers. I didn't even register for any. But those are all I've used. And we use them for EVERYTHING.

The best swaddle blankets are the receiving blanket they give you at the hospital so make sure to grab some! I liked the swadllemes when DD was a little bigger. Never wa a fan of halo. Next baby I am going to try the Ollie swaddle! I think it will be personal preference so just pick one or two to try first.

We didn't like the summer infant. She kicked out the bottom pocket. But the halo swaddles also has the sleep sack so they can't kick out of them.

@Foodnerd81: same here, lol!!! I have at least five different brands. For me, desperate times called for desperate orders on amazon for all different types of swaddles! The ones we used most were halo swaddle sack, woombie and swaddle me.

Now the only one I'm using is the convertible woombie, which has been great in keeping LO feeling secure but allows him to move his arms freely.

We use pretty much all of them at some point! They all worked at different phases. The only one that didn't work for us was the miracle blanket- which was the only one my nephew liked.

I would get one of a few different types so you can see what works before stocking up. I was lucky and got a bunch of had me downs to try out.

We have both the Summer Infant swaddles and the A + A blankets. I prefer the Summer Infant because they are easy to put on, DH prefers the A + A (not sure why). I'd register for both!

@meowkers as far as I know, the BBB A&A blankets are not the boutique ones. There is a difference in size (44 vs 47") and fabric quality. The smaller ones don't have the same stretchiness as the bigger ones. Makes a huge difference in a nice, tight swaddle. Unfortunately, the boutique blankets are a bit pricier

I like the summer infant velcro ones the best (before the breaking out of swaddles phase). We also used the A&A but I prefer them for other functions than swaddling.

The simple ones with the velcro worked best for the first month or so. The A&A were nice but didn't work for us for swaddling. He broke out too easily. After about a month we needed to use the Miracle Blanket or the Woombie because he could bust out of everything else. Those (although they look ridiculous and he hated the process of being swaddled with them) were the most helpful and calmed him the most.

For the first couple weeks we used A&A blankets. Then until about 5 months we used the summer infant Velcro swaddles. Then she switched to a fleece halo sack and now at 12 on the she wears an A&A sleepsack. We have used a little bit of everything and have liked it all.

I love the A&A..but not to swaddle lol. I use them as stroller blankets and car blankets to block out direct sunlight and also for pumping.

I tried swaddlemes and miracle blanket. Swaddlemes didn't work for us when she was really little. she could roll around from side to side in it and couldn't sleep. I loved the miracle blanket! It keeps their arms at their sides..so she couldn't roll around!
I do use a halo/summer infant swaddle/sack now sometimes (tummy swaddled only though) but she could always break through that when I used it with one arm in-one arm out.

I liked the Summer Infant and Halo swaddles, and once she was out of swaddles, we used the Halo sleep sacks. What I did when she started busting out of the Summer Infant ones was use a regular swaddle blanket to pin her arms down like wha the halo ones have built-in, and that lasted till she was finished swaddling at 4 months. :) Sometimes it seems like it is just trial and error - some kids are houdinis who can escape any blanket and others are fine with little restriction

My LO loves her Halo sleep sack swaddles. That is what they use in the NICU and they have worked really well for her. I like that she can have her hands out and still be swaddled if need be.

When lo was teeny we used one of the pod like swaddles...you put them inside and then zip them up. That kept him pretty snug, but we then used an aa swaddle blanket on the outside.

When he outgrew that, our favorite was the halo swaddle (i liked the microfleece because it was heavier). I didn't like the summer infant ones...the velcro never worked as well for me.

We also tried a miracle blanket and lo really hated it. He liked to be able to get one hand up near his face (which he could do in our other configurations). This was pretty much a baby straight jacket and he did not like it at all.

Make sure you get a set of the boutique A&A blankets... there is a huge difference from the ones they sell at Target etc.... We used the summer infant and Halo sleepsacks, which, are essentially the same. We tried the Miracle Blanket, but it was too much like a straight jacket to me and pulled the arms straight, which I didn't love.
I guess my rec is to start with the swaddle blankets (when baby is so little) and transition to the Halo/Summer Infant swaddle when they get a bit bigger. It worked well for us.

We went registering this past weekend and that was an absolutely exhausting experience. I'm left completely undecided on what type of swaddle blankets to register for. We registered for a set of A+A muslin blankets but I also wanted to get some of the designated swaddle blankets. All the reviews on the internet have left me completely at a loss since every blanket has good and bad reviews.

Which brand do you use and do you like it? The brands I'm looking at are Miracle Blanket, Summer Infant and Halo. But maybe there are others I just don't know about.

All input greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
