Around 12 weeks we quit swaddling cold turkey. She was waking me up once a night not to feed, but would be happy as soon as I unswaddled her, then fall right back to sleep.

@Mrs. Polish: I put LO in the Gerber sleep gowns with the mitten cuffs because her hands are always cold! She's still able to put her (mittened) hands in her mouth, but they stay warm!

@Mrs. Jacks: I was super excited to find a fleece Halo on sale for 8$ at Winners this week. I wish they had more sizes! Although I shouldn't buy too much.

Don't some infants not like being swaddled? Also I hear mixed reviews from people that you should/shouldn't swaddle. Ahhhh it's so confusing!

@delight: Yes, they are great because they are able to independently move their arms, which means they can maneuver out of any bad situations they get themselves into. Our 16 month old is still in a sleep sack (when it's cool enough to wear one). It actually also helps with climbing out of the crib.

I stopped swaddling when my girls could roll over (4 months for my girls), because a sealed baby can roll over but not get back. That would wind them up on their tummy without hands to push their face out of the mattress.

@Mrs. Polish: this is a great question!
My son, 12 weeks today, is so ready to lose the swaddle, but so not ready at the same time!
He is in a phase where he is absolutely obsessed with his fingers and hands (shoving them in his mouth and sucking on them). So taking away his hands to swaddle makes him so mad sometimes!
However, the swaddle still works to calm him down, as a sleep cue, to help him sleep longer at night, and for when he is too wiggly during a nursing session.
I don't know what to do!
How old is your LO?
