She was in the RnP and couldn't roll over, so it wasn't an issue. Then we went to the Merlin Magic Sleepsuit before month 5 when we moved her to the crib. If I let him sleep freely, his arms and legs flail like crazy and he'll never sleep! We started using the halo swaddle sleep sacks (instead of the Aden and anais blankets we had been using) and would swaddle him with one arm out. Once he was used to that we did both arms out but still used the velcro part around his chest. Over time we loosened the velcro and now he just uses a regular sleep sack. Really? :( D is 11 weeks and can't sleep at night unless he's swaddled or laying on someone's chest. I've also noticed he can sleep on his back, unswaddled, if he's on the bed or a pillow, something soft vs. the firm mattress. We've tried putting him in sleep sacks, which he loves, but everytime we lay him down he wakes right back up.
