I used the russian swaddle (first video) instead of a traditional swaddle because it was much more secure. I put a folded receiving blanket inside of that to secure his arms (video two). We stopped swaddling because he learned how to roll over while swaddled. My mom swaddled my sister for 6 months too. Neither she nor my son ever tried rolling while swaddling. He slept very still.
