@winniebee: It was about a week ago for me that LO would nap well even if not swaddled. So, at 11 weeks.

@skibobrown: we transitioned with the magic Sleepsuit. I wanted to ditch the swaddle because we were ditching the pacifier for nights. It worked great! I actually think LO is sleeping better :).

At 4.5 months we still swaddle for naps. He has been weaned off the swaddle for nights for over a week now. Daytime sleep has always been an issue for us so I can't bring myself to mess with it yet. Once he starts rolling over or breaking out of the swaddle then we will wean completely.

I just swaddled my son until he started to break free from it. I say that if it works and he's comfortable being swaddled, keeping doing it! At around 2 months, he started getting uncomfortable so I weaned him off of it by using a swaddle sleep sack where his arms are swaddled but his legs aren't. Then eventually i just weaned him off of it completely.

My baby naps poorly with or without the swaddle... so we don't bother to swaddle for naps. She's almost 15 weeks, and we still swaddle at night. I'm thinking about trying to wean her from nighttime swaddling, but DH thinks that we should wait, since her nighttime sleep is so good right now, why mess w/ a good thing.

I tried swaddle weaning with DS when he started breaking out of his swaddles, but he just cried the whole time, so he obviously wasn't ready. :( I think we'll try again in a few months, weaning him of the nighttime swaddle first.

Do you swaddle your infant during the day for naps? If so, when did you stop doing so?

LO is 8 weeks old and 9 times out of 10 if I don't swaddle him for a nap, he naps poorly. Wondering when I should start leaving him unswaddled for daytime naps.
