We used Aiden and Anais blankets and the SwaddleMe with DD; for some reason, DS only likes the A&A blankets. We never used sleep sacks; we just went straight from swaddles to long-sleeve footie pajamas.

We swaddle with the blanket that has velcro until 2 1/2 months. Then she switched to a sleep sack.

The Miracle blanket worked the best for us because LO couldn't break out of it. But it was such a pain to use, especially in the middle of the night when you're dead tired. We then used the velcro-style wrap but it was made of a fleece type of material and our LO would sweat like no other. So I'm on the lookout for a velcro-style wrap made of cotton. I'll probably try the sleepsack with #2 and see how that goes too.

Once LO started rolling around, we put her in a sleep sack. Sleep sacks are a must have!
We only used swaddling blankets for about a week.

The first month we used swaddle blankets because Olive was too small/weak to break out of them. Then we used the wrap/velcro style blankets until she was 4 months old. She kept breaking out of them so we went cold turkey to sleep sacks after that and she's been in sleep sacks ever since.

We still use the swaddle blankets all the time in the stroller, nursing cover, blanket, etc. so they have a long use after the initial swaddling stage! And Charlie was in sleep sacks until just recently (he's 2 1/4). The wrap/velcro blankets have the shortest life, but they work so well!

So they all have a purpose.... just at different stages of their life!

Wagon Jr. loved to be swaddled, and tightly (he'd sleep well while swaddled, but if he broke free he'd wake up and be distressed) so we loved the Miracle Blanket. He could break out of any other blanket / swaddle so we had 3 Miracle Blankets. He was in them almost 24/7 until he learned how to flip over on his own. Then it wasn't safe anymore for him to be swaddled, so we had to switch to sleep sacks. It took a while for him to learn how to not wake himself up with his hands (we'd stand over him and hold his arms down until he fell asleep!) and he's still in sleep sacks more than 2 years later.

How did you approach tucking your LO in for sleepy time? Did you swaddle with blankets, use something like a miracle blanket or did you just use sleep sacks to keep them covered? Did what worked best for you depend on their age?

Everyone raves about all these different products and admittedly, I feel totally clueless about them. I've gone along assuming I will swaddle and haven't bought much beyond my swaddling blankets.

What did you love and recommend?
