@zippylef: this is good to hear and my hope. I can deal with the swelling but don't want any pre-e or anything.

My blood pressure never really got super high but I started majorly swelling at 24 weeks. I had no ankles by the start of my 3rd trimester. I never had pre-e or hypertension.

The swelling sucks bad, but is bearable. I hope your BP cooperates and stays low for you.

My blood pressure was 136/88 and we looked back to Jan. 2012 and thats what it was then so she's not concerned. Its def borderline high but not crazy and normal for me. She did tell me to avoid salt/sodium and put lemon in my water to help with the swelling.

Thank you for the responses. I called to ask the nurse about it and the receptionist said I needed to be seen. I'm going in this afternoon so we'll see.

One last thought on this, I know the last thing they are going to want to see is my BP high so is there anyway to lower it or just think calm thoughts?

My BP didn't rise until later in my pregnancy (Maybe 30 weeks) but I had intense swelling starting at 25 weeks. Its was painful and made me miserable.

I ended up being induced at 39 weeks bc of BP and swelling when protein started appearing in my urine

I take mine everyday as I have normally higher blood pressure and sometimes I do have high ones, but they can be caused by stress and other things. My OB views them every appt and she is always happy with them, she said if its high just take the reading again in an hour to see if its dropped. I've been told anything over 140/90 is too high to be having continuelessly. I'd definately call when they are open especially if those result are high for you.

I had some pretty bad swelling, but it didn't really start until third trimester. My blood pressure ended up skyrocketing around 38 weeks. I would probably call your doc and get it checked.

I'm going to call my dr office when they open but was just wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms.

My blood pressure has been moderately high since my first appt. but I didn't start recording it until week 15.

At week 15 it was 128/74 at week 19 (4/30) it was 150/90. My mom took it and it was 121/84 on 5/5 and 136/84 on 5/6. Now my feet are swelling and tingly, I've noticed since early in pregnancy if I sit at my desk too long they start tingling but I hadn't noticed the swelling. My mom says she noticed it at the beginning of May but didn't want to stress me out.

So is this normal or should I be on the lookout for anything?
