We have pea gravel which I love. I would have been fine with just grass, but out grass dies if you look at it wrong, so there was no way it would withstand all that foot traffic.</p> <p>To the OP - we have a gorilla brand set. We didn’t get it from Costco bc but they definitely sold a similar one at the time we were looking so I would have. Also, we hired a handyman to assemble it. So you are saying mulch is really bad for them? I guess that’s why a lot of people have the pea gravel stuff instead? I never even thought of that. It came in 3 boxes and the set up took a few hours in the morning and it's been great. Both girls have birthdays at the beginning of summer, so the plan is to give it to them then. We want it to have room for at least two swings and a slide. Any suggestions about ones you have and like OR brands to steer clear of? I'm not opposed to buying used on Craigslist as well, but am also going to look at new ones. I don't think we want to spend over $1500. </p>
