DS is more accepting of it if I warm the milk a little instead of straight from the fridge. </p> <p>At 12 months, we'll start slowly reducing his bottles so he's inclined to drink more milk during the day. We also switched to a straw cup at the same time. For a while his milk intake went way down (but the ped okayed it since he was eating plenty of cheese and yogurt) as he got used to the straw cup, but soon enough he was drinking plenty of milk again. Up until now, all he had been drinking is formula and water but I've also been okayed to give him a little juice. </p> <p>My question is, how did you make the transition? My mother suggests mixing some mixed formula with some whole milk to get him used to the taste of it. She also told me to put it in his sippy cup - which is hard, since he still hasn't really found a sippy cup he'll drink from consistently. Did you mix the two? Did you warm up the whole milk and the formula or just give it to them cold? Did you increase how much whole milk was given over time before you cut out formula completely?</p> <p>Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated! </p>
