I joked on facebook this morning that Nora had been kicking me really hard in a, "Mama, I was trying to tell you I was a girl all along!" kind of way, and I got a text from my Mom saying that maybe she just didn't like her name being changed. Then my mother in law came home and said "I've been thinking about it all day, and I really love the name Elliot for a girl... just saying!". And then my husbands aunt texted me the exact same thing!</p> <p>I'm just feeling like now everyone is sort of pressuring me into naming her Elliot, and I feel like the power is being taken away from me in some way. </p> <p>@winnibee: yes! We had an ultrasound about a month ago or so (and another two weeks later), and we were told both times he was "for sure" a boy. Well, yeah, "he" is not. "He" has a vagina. We went for a super detailed anatomy scan yesterday and the tech was surprised we were told boy, considering there was absolutely nothing between the legs. I would just tell people (next time it comes up or they mention Nora) that you are reconsidering. I have had several friends/family members do this, and I never really thought twice about it.</p> <p>For what it is worth, I love both names! Norah was on my short list, and I love Elliot(t) for a boy OR girl.
