I switched to the Samsung Galaxy and I loooove it! Will never go back to iPhone. It's like having a mini computer and I love the photos it takes and the screen size.

I had been an iphone user for over 5 years and switched to the GS5 last month and love it. My DH switched over to the M8 and we both agree we probably won't be switching back to the iphone anytime soon. Yes, there was a learning curve the first week but we've been able to adjust without any issue.

I've had both, and it really is a personal preference. I love Android because it is very user friendly. The only downside I find is that Apple had more apps, but that is slowly changing, and I agree that they don't seem to last as long as the iPhone without slowing down issues. Even with those 2 issues, I still love my Galaxy 4s and wouldn't trade back!

I switched from an iPhone to an S4 and I don't miss anything about Apple! It takes some getting used to because it is sooo much more customizable, but it is totally worth it. Love my Samsung!

It took about a week but I love my galaxy and would never ever go back to an iphone now. It's a lot more intuitive after you get to know how to use them. Plus I love that I can add a memory card to my phone instead of maxing out my memory on my iphone. There are more than enough apps that work on both platforms where I don't feel like I'm "missing out" since switching over.

My biggest concern with any android is that I've never had one last very long. They're awesome at first, but within a year or so they start getting slower or have too many apps to run properly or whatever. That's the only reaps. I could never go back. iPhones will make it to your 2 year contract or even longer, I feel like with androids you'll be counting the days until your next upgrade. But, maybe I'm too rough on phones? :)

I tried to switch to Android, there is some functionality that is a lot better than the iphone, but it's not worth it to me for what I use the phone for. I returend to apple.

I'm afraid to switch too! I am just so comfortable w/ the iphone and don't want to get used to a new one. Plus I'm more afraid to break the Samsung... Their screens look mighty big and fragile. I drop my iphone on a daily basis and it's still here after 1.5 years!

I personally am not interested but my husband switched to android and he loves it! I think it's just personal preference. If you like your husband's phone, then you probably will like it. I've never liked even playing with his phone.

@singingbee: my husband switched from iPhone 4S to a samsung galaxy, which is android based. We had androids before switching to iPhones.

He loves his phone and won't look back. The biggest pro I can think of is you can easily sync your calendars, which is important to us. But, it can be done on an iPhone too... Just not as easily/quickly.

I still prefer Apple.

I have an IPhone 4, but DH just got an HTC one M8. I love the space that he has, the customization he can do, etc. However, I am hesitant to switch from iphone because I'm so used to it.

Has anyone made the switch? I don't mind learning and taking the time to customize everything. I just want to make sure that I don't regret switching.
