@littlebug: ugh, I remember! I took my older toddler to a gymnastics class at the time and walking on the uneven squishy mats was so painful, I left in tears! Mine didn't last until delivery, just for several weeks in the late 2nd-early 3rd trimester, so I hope yours improves also!

I had it and it was awful. I saw a physiotherapist a few times, but it didn't really help. Sitting on an exercise ball instead of a chair helped a bit, and getting up very slowly helped a bit. But it was miserable basically until I went into labour.

@Veggiemama: Yeah, I just was trying to cross my legs at my desk and saw stars! UGH.

@Cole: Unfortunately, chiro is not covered by my insurance, and we're not in a position to pay OOP for it right now. I wish I could, because I saw a chiro during my 1st pregnancy for back and hip pain and it was magic!

I didn't have this but had other pelvic issues during pregnancy. I saw a pelvic floor physiotherapist and she was amazing. She helped re-train my pelvic floor and make it stronger before labour. You might want to look into this- I can't speak highly enough about it!

I had this! It was terrible, so painful! I also carried very low. One thing that helped was to try to keep your knees together, if you're lying on your side and want to switch to the other side, keep your knees pushed together as you roll over. Avoid sitting cross-legged or in any position that spreads the pelvic bones.

I don't know if this will be helpful, but this blogger had the same thing (or something similar) and noted what worked for her..

I am sorry! I had/have this and it's awful. Can you find a chiropractor who does Webster technique? They are great with the pelvis and it might help. Sadly though, delivery is your best bet. Mine has taken a long time to heal. I recommend lining up extra help for anything involving stairs after baby. Hopefully yours will heal fast though! Ice helped after the baby was born but I never thought to try it while pregnant.

And still get checked by your care provider. There are a few things that can be going on that seem similar and it might help you narrow down how to approach it.

I'm convinced I had this, although I never had a formal diagnosis. I went on bedrest at 32 weeks (for unrelated issues) and that seemed to help with a lot of the pain. I'm so sorry you're dealing with it - I remember feeling so overwhelmed thinking that I was going to deal with so much pain for the rest of pregnancy. I used to walk down a long hallway to the bathroom at work and then I'd sit there and cry while I peed, then had to steel myself for the long walk back to my office. Once I delivered everything immediately felt better (well, in my hips, not everywhere, ha!).

Has anyone had this? I really think I do. I am 33 weeks, and my pelvis/pubic bone area is KILLING me. Walking is becoming increasingly more painful it feels like every day. This morning I was almost in tears walking into work from my car, which can't be more than 100 yards. The pain is right in the front of my pelvis.

Babygirl has felt very low for as long as I could feel her. I use a support belt whenever I'm on my feet for a while, but I'm up and down a lot at my job, so it's hard to wear it 100% of the time. Any other tips/suggestions to help with the pain?
