It sounds like worst case scenario, he'll have hearing aids and work with a speech therapist to ensure he meets his milestones. </p> <p>Best case scenario, he may just need a little classroom assistance (like we would just make sure his teachers sat him closer to the front of the room, possibly they'd wear a microphone). </p> <p>Regardless, we love him and will do everything to make sure he's happy, healthy, and lives a wonderful life. Just trying to say that it sounds like regardless of the test his life will be pretty much normal, and you will be able to overcome this with your lo. The audiologist isn't sure at this point how much is permanent and how much is attributable to fluid and his ears just not being fully developed yet. We go back in four weeks for a follow up and we should have a better idea then of how to proceed. </p> <p>He has a lot of hearing, she said, but there is some loss. I'm really nervous but even if he does have hearing loss, I know we will get him the best care possible. It's still just scary though. I'm hoping and praying he's fine... </p>
