We signed up through the Y initially when LO was 3...they had a cute 3-5 year old class where they just essentially taught them the basics and did fun drills. </p> <p>LO is now 4.5 and we're doing it one more time before starting in the local league. They do something called quickball rather than t-ball with that age. Of course we usually have to tell them to keep running, they all stop on first :happy: </p> <p>DH tried to get a helmet for our son but the store we went to was sold out. I have no idea how many innings. BUT everyone gets a turn to bat and run. And to make it more fun for the last batter up, the last batter in each inning automatically gets to run all the bases. They ask to be in certain positions when they first go out and then the coach rotates them. Of course everyone wants to be the one to get the ball so they all go running for it! </p> <p>How many innings do you guys do? They try to have everyone bat twice, so two innings. But one game everyone was really on it and we were able to get three in! It's adorable. My husband wants to take our son to a sports store to buy him his own helmet since he borrowed a too big one for the game last week, so ran while holding it the whole time. The first practice and game were so so cute. Nobody knows what they're doing. We had our first practice on March 2nd and opening ceremony/first game was on March 4th. They are so cute out there, but you are right, it is like herding cats!
