@NurseMommy: Nope. I've been racking my brain for anything that was different that could have caused this. :/

I called his ped, who is out today but his staff sent me to a sister clinic and I'm waiting to hear back. He's just laying on me, limp, drifting in and out of sleep. I took his jammies off because he felt hot so he's just in a diaper.

This is our first actual SICKNESS. :( he's had off days but it hurts me to see him sick.

Aw, I agree with pp, probably just a virus. Did he have immunizations in the last couple of days? My dd was suuuuuuper sleepy after her four month ones.

He was crying and restless while sleeping so I went ahead and got him up for a diaper change, a temp check, and nursing. He didn't open his eyes the whole time, except to peek at me when I latched him on. He started to smile at me like he always does and then broke down in tears again. I'm thinking he will be wanting to sleep more after nursing. I'm missing my happy smiley baby today. :(

Sounds like it could just be a virus. Just let him sleep as long as he wants. I would just nurse, no purees today.

T had a 3 am MOTN wake up last night which is unusual. Lately he's been back to STTN. I didn't think it was too weird though so I nursed him back to sleep. He woke up around 6ish like normal to nurse again before we get ready for the day and leave for work and the babysitters. He would pull off like he was done and try and go to sleep (he usually wakes up for the day). He was so fussy and unhappy, so I nursed him again. I ended up nursing him 4 times and he was still restless and unhappy. He was grunting and whimpering which made me think his belly was hurting. He let out a little toot at one point.

I called in to work and held him and he fell asleep on me again around 7:30. After an hour, I transferred him to his crib and he's still sleeping (going on 3 hours now) He normally takes a 30-45 minute nap of the morning so this is really unusual. He woke up before I put him in his crib and he started the grunting and fussiness again before he literally passed back out.

No fever. I checked twice. Any ideas?
