Okay, I think I'll introduce a few of the higher risk stuff like eggs that we haven't tried and then relax more.

@hilsy85: @Silva: Thanks, I'm going to take your suggestions and introduce one legume at a time since he's had reactions to two of the three we've tried in that family. Fingers crossed for no peanut allergy!

We did BLW, I don't think I did the one food at a time for more than the first few days. No one in either of our families has any food allergies so I wasn't too concerned though.

I stopped worrying about two weeks in. But no sensitivities so far and no family history of allergies.

My LO hasn't had any reactions. We tried the bigger allergens- egg, dairy (yogurt), peanut (we just crumbled some up and added them to spinach), mango, strawberry, legumes, etc. No reactions. At about 7.5 months we just went for it. Its great to be able to just give her what I'm eating.
I would maybe look up what allergen family the chick peas are a part of and try those individually?

I stopped worrying about 1 food at a time around 8/9 months. At that point we had done eggs, meats, most fruits and veggies, and beans, and had no reactions. LO was also getting more interested in table food. However, if he had a reaction to something, like your LO to chickpeas, I might try out foods in that family one at a time, just in case.

After we introduced most meats, fruits and veggies, I tried some of the bigger allergy items individually. Dairy, eggs etc and then once I was satisfied that he had no problem with those I started just feeding what we ate for dinner. We have a lot of similar foods in different forms, but if we were having something very different I might try to keep out a bit while cooking to feed as a "new food item".

I think the boys are ready to start eating more food, but I'm feeling a little bit overwhelmed with how to make the transition. They've eaten a variety of baby food, both individual foods and mixes. They've also had some finger foods like mum mums, little bites of chicken, etc. I have primarily stuck to only introducing one new food at a time, though. F has had no problems at all, and E has had mild reactions (ed skin and a rash) from lentils and chickpeas. The idea of just giving them some of what we're having makes me a little apprehensive because their could be several new things.

How did you transition to more table foods? When did you relax and not worry about introducing one food at a time?
