@JessicaMcB: My almost 4 year old is completely attached to his. He used to walk around holding the tag on the side of his shirt. I bought him his taggie about 2 years ago. He has loved it ever since. Once we took away the pacifier at 3 he replaced it with his taggie he even takes it to school with him everyday (in his backpack). My daycare girl though has zero interest in a lovey so I guess it really depends on the child. My daycare girl also never took a pacifier so maybe she just self soothes better then DS.

My friend ordered me one off etsy. It's pretty cool, with blue, orange and yellow tags. I have a girl but I'm not into the pink think, so I was thrilled with it. My LO likes it, but she's more of a fan of her blankets (like, actual blanket). I made my sister one for her girl. It's pretty simple if you can sew and want to or have the time.

Growing up, and to this day, I've always had a favourite blanket (it's changed over the years). So I made my baby a quilt, and I'm hoping it becomes her favourite, but she's too little to use it just now. But we bought her a teddy bear, because my husband thinks every baby should have a special teddy, and we've been trying to force it on her for like 3 months now. She's finally starting to notice it, but I think her biggest "comfort" item is her teething necklace. She's often pulling on it and sucking on it and fingering it, especially when she's upset (she never took a pacifier and isn't a thumb sucker).

At this point in time we're pretty set-up for Emma's arrival anytime in the next 2-6 weeks. However, when I was hanging out in her nursery the other day (am I the only weirdo that does this?) I noticed we haven't really bought her a lovey.

As a kid I really attached to this blanket with sateen edging that felt similar to a taggie blanket and today I thought- hey Emma might like something like that!

Do your LO's like the taggie blanket? Are there any more "girl-friendly" colored taggie blankets? If you're Canadian- where did you buy yours?
