The doctor knew I was pregnant and okay-ed the meds. The doctor did say that I can try Robitussin and Tylenol or the antibiotic. I'm not sure if it was definitely necessary. I just told her that I really wanted to go back to work today so I think the antibiotic would speed it up. I had a cyst (on my underwear line) rupture and get infected. At first, they thought it could be MRSA. They gave me heavy duty antibiotics for 7 days and it turned out fine. I was about 10 weeks along at the time and they prescribed a 7 day antibiotic (twice a day). I was worried too but, like @Mrs. Owl knew there were dangers of letting the UTI go untreated. I've been fine since taking it. The assistant said if it gets worse, go to my primary care. well I didn't take Robitussin (wanted to make sure I take the right thing) so I went to the Primary Care yesterday and she prescribed amoxicillin and said it was mild bronchitis and a sinus infection. I am 5 weeks 4 days pregnant and worried I will hurt the developing baby. I took the 3 pills today and am going to call the OB in the am. Anyone else take antibiotics this early?? </p>
