I only have a day left of the meds, so hopefully I won't suffer much longer. When the NP prescribed Augmentin she said she wanted that instead of Amoxicillin because it's sure to get all the bacteria causing the infection. I should have started the probiotics when I first started the meds, but I felt ok the first few days and thought I was in the clear. It try to follow a BRAT type diet for a couple of days and that usually helps. If the drinks aren't working, I've had great success with a yeast based probiotic called Florastor. It's one of the only probiotics that can survive the acid in your stomach, and make it to your gut.
