A fried of mine just bought her class for her 6 month old and she said it was a great purchase. I'm now curious after a few of you mention she talks about the witching hour... That's our biggest struggle.

From what I've seen in regards to sleep, it involves the Happiest Baby tips: swaddle, shush, sway, soothe. Pausing before you go to baby to see if they really need you or are just fussing and will resettle. A dream feed. Then little tips along the way for general care: having a warm towel ready when you get baby out of the tub, washing their hair under running water during the typical witching hour if they're fussy. I haven't taken her class, but a lot of people are using her as a hashtag and that is what I've seen!

I’m interested in buying her course. Can someone give me a little insight to what her training method is? I’m okay with some CIO but definitely not the extreme of extinction method. I’m kinda looking for something that’s timed interval checks and teaches how to console the baby. I’m so leary of letting my baby cry for 5-6 hours on end, ya know?

@SteelerGirl: Just want to give you some reassurance - my now 4yo sounds like yours. Extremely good sleeper from 5 months on. Even through illness, travel, etc. He was dependent on the paci just to fall asleep (naps and night time). A couple months before he turned 3 we started talking about how at 3 the binky fairy comes and takes the pacis and gives them to new babies that need them. We got a couple books about how pacis are for babies.
I was SO SCARED it would ruin his perfect sleep but he just whined a little at bedtime for 2-3 nights but still went right to sleep. Hasn’t asked for it since and even talks about “remember when I had a binky like a baby? But I’m a big boy now I don’t need one”.
It’s been a year and his sleep has remained the same. I can’t say ZERO wakeups (bad dreams started in the last year). But it was really a nonevent that I was stressed over for nothing.

I live in Scottsdale, where she lives and does local live classes. I took her class when I had a 9 week old baby and was looking for solutions. True story: I went home after that class and found my husband trying to put our screaming baby to sleep. I tried the technique she demonstrated in the class and put her right to sleep. Over the next several months I taught the techniques to my husband, my parents, my husbands parents and siblings, and all of them used it every time she needed to take a nap. Worked like a charm every time. She has slept through the night every.single.night since she was 5 months old. Through teething, illness, travel, changing seasons, etc. We stayed consistent and her sleep has been amazing. She's over 2 now.
My only complaint is she highly recommends using a pacifier, and our daughter is still highly dependent on it for sleep. I'm putting off weaning her off it because her sleep is sooo good I don't want to mess with it!

I haven’t, but I follow her on Instagram and I’m going to buy it when I’m in the third trimester. She gets good reviews and I don’t want a repeat of my first babies sleeping habits! I like her approach because it seems more gentle, but not so gentle that it would take forever.

Has anyone used Taking Cara Babies’ ABC’s of Sleep? We’re really struggling with sleeping through the night and her promise of 14 days to better sleep almost sounds too good to be true. I’m trying to get a better sense of the course and consultations personality/methods before spending the money and getting DH on board to follow the program.

I understand that the whole method wouldn’t be put online for free, but I’m thinking of it like before I hired a physical therapist I met with two different ones to better understand their anticipated plan and I could pick the one who I felt best “fit” with me. I am hoping someone has completed the class and can give a non-advertisement assessment of who it would be a good match for, if that makes sense.
