I think it helped initially in TTC of just understanding cycles, etc. Once I saw that my OPKs were working and I sucked at temping, the book was less useful. I'm thinking of holding onto it until we conceive LO #2, then probably selling or free offering it here.

Read it, learned a ton, used my knowlege of my body/cycle to sucessfully avoid pregnancy naturally for over 1.5 years.. then got pregnant in the 3rd month of trying (obviously I can't credit this to the book, but it didn't hurt!). I do recommend it, even just borrowing it or buying it used!

It might help you to learn more about mucous signs.

My temps tend to not be as regular as one would hope, but mucous seems to be a pretty good indicator of when things are working and when they're not.

My doctor also prefers that women do something in addition to using OPKs because sometimes it helps to figure out the "why" instead of just letting you know if you're ovulating or not.

It may help you to track more symptoms if you run into longterm problems.

It really helped me to learn my cycles. I went off BC and was able to avoid pregnancy for two years.

I have temped in the past and quit because I found it to me so stressful. My issue is my follicles don't mature like they should (clomid seems to be helping this) however, it is still not "working" to get me KU again. I just use OPKs now and do a mid cycle u/s. What else could I learn/do?!

I think it's informative if you don't have any knowledge whatsoever. I learned everything I needed to from WB and here. Seriously, the women in these forums are so in-the-know. I bought the book and learned a couple little statistics, etc., but for the most part already knew a lot of it.

I learned a lot from it, but I probably could have learned all the same info online. Just found the book an easier format when I was trying to figure out WTF was going on (or not going on as the case may be) in my body.

I haven't read all the way through it, but have browsed it after taking a class on NFP and charting.

I think charting (and knowing what the charts mean, not just having an app interpret them for you) is incredibly insightful and powerful. I thought I knew a lot about my body, but there was so much to learn.

It was through charting that my doctor was able to tell (within two months) that I wasn't ovulating and that I had all the signs of having PCOS. It was much easier for her to diagnose and treat me while doing minimal testing.

What kind of a difference are you looking for?

I never read it. If you're just looking for information on how your cycles work and how to chart, I suggest the free resources on Fertility Friend.

i read it and found it very informative if charting is something your interested in or just curious or didnt really understand the chemistry behind fertility. After reading the book I went of the pill and did start charting but i used fertility friend instead of using a paper chart
