My doctor told me I could hold him during my exams if needed, but there was a med student at my 6 week that held him for me and my favorite clinic nurse (she took care of us for every single appointment) held him during my 12 week appointment. It wasn't a big deal. I just set him up for success ahead of time (or when I bring #2, nurse just prior to the appointment so he will hopefully nap). </p> <p>You are only indisposed for a few minutes during a pelvic exam/pap, so it's not like you can't calm him for a long duration. I had wound check appointments at my OB every week from 1 week pp through 6 weeks pp and took LO to all of them because what else am I going to do with her? lol. My plan was to drop T off at the babysitters like usual, go to my appointment and then head in to work for a half day. Well my babysitter has an appointment that day and won't be abl to watch him. I can take off the rest of the day no problem, but I would have to take him to my appointment with me. I'll be indisposed a lot of the time and would just have to leave him in his car seat in the floor beside me. I'm nervous about doing this. What if he's fussy? He's only 4 months. But myOB that delivered T will be the one doing it, and he and his staff would be thrilled to see LO again. (they pouted when I went to my 6 week PP appointment without him). </p> <p>Should I try and find other arrangements or would it be totally crazy just to tag him along with me for the hour? </p>
