I hope your LO is ok! that is scary. DS got that when he was younger and it was the worst time in his life. Honestly i would call your pedi and see if you can start any preventive methods just in case. He is so young!

Wiki says, "It is moderately contagious and is spread through direct contact with the mucus, saliva, or feces of an infected person." So hopefully they didn't touch each other? I hope your LO is okay!!

It's not your fault! Our pediatrician said to avoid crowded places, like a busy mall during the weekend. Having a friend babysit in her home isn't the same thing. I hope your LO will be fine!

Oh no. I hope your LO is okay?? I'd say keep watching your LO for symptoms and call the doctor if you're worried. I'm sure it's all fine - and, either way, it's really not your fault, please know that.

Keep us updated. x

So I posted awhile back about how our pediatrician said not to take LO anywhere until 8 week shots. Well, we have done great except I had a huge test to take Wednesday and left LO w/a good friend who is a SAHM with an 18 month old.

She called me today to say he had been throwing up and took him to the doctor and he has foot & mouth!! Ugh! She said her pedi said he would have been exposed and to look for symptoms. Right after I got off the phone with her LO had the most explosive diaper I think I've ever encountered!

I don't even want to start googling things. He doesn't seem lethargic or acting weird-just typical newborn. But he is only 5 weeks old and I would never forgive myself if he got sick and had to go tithe hospital because I had to take a test!
