How long did you do it for? We have co-slept from almost day 1 are still co-sleeping at 18 months. At first we had me and LO in the bed together or she was in her bassinet in our room. We then switched to the Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper, I love that thing!

How did you transition LO into their crib/bed? I have no idea. We are trying to slowly transition her. Right now her crib is side-carred to our bed so we are just trying to get her to sleep in that. She will start the night there sometimes and then climb into our bed and on top of me or in between DH and I. Sometimes she will sleep half in the crib and half on our bed.

Did you swaddle when they were still swaddle-able? We swaddled her for about 4 months.

What about naps? For naps at her nanny share she sleeps in a pack 'n play. Her nanny usually has to sing and pat her back, but it takes LO about 10 minutes to fall asleep. At home she naps in bed. I still nurse her to nap. I know I need to stop but she requests it so I just give in. Plus she's asleep in 10-15 minutes. It's the easiest thing for all of us! (She won't let me pat her back to sleep because she knows that Mommy is for nursing).

We still bedshare at 7 months, with no plans to stop in the immediate future. We only have one bedroom, so there's no real reason to rush to transition her to her own space anyway. Plus, it works really well for us.

She was swaddled sometimes for naps, but we stopped completely at 3 months.

When she was smaller, she would usually nap on me or in her rock n play. Now that she's older, she naps in the bed.

How long did you do it for? From 3 weeks to 9 months

How did you transition LO into their crib/bed? We used the ferber method.

Did you swaddle when they were still swaddle-able? I stopped pretty soon after cosleeping. DS would sweat if he was swaddled and had our body heat. He's a hot baby!

What about naps? He still only sleeps on me for naps. It's frustrating. I've tried to get him to nap in his crib and it's a disaster. He goes down fine in there for bed though.

Co sleeping is such a personal choice. I totally understand why people do it and I totally get why some don't like the idea at all.

How long did you do it for? From day 3 (because I wasn't about to sleep on the couch another night!) until DS was 8ish months.

How did you transition LO into their crib/bed? We moved his crib into our room and he slept in it beside our bed from 8-12 months. Then we transitioned him into his own room.

Did you swaddle when they were still swaddle-able? He was only swaddled for the first 3 weeks, he was much happier with his arms out.

What about naps? Naps happened in the swing, pack and play, my arms or in bed together until about 8 months when we moved all sleep to his crib (in our room).

DH loved that J was in bed with us.

Good luck!

-We co-bedded for 6 months.

-We transitioned him to his crib in his own room with a modified CIO.

-I did not swaddle my son past 2-3 weeks because he HATED it with the burning passion of a thousand suns. I put him in a long-sleeved fleece sleep sack and a diaper (our body heat was more than enough warmth).

-Until I transitioned him to his crib he napped almost exclusively in my arms/with me (and every now and again in someone else's arms)...he refused to sleep unless he was being held. Sometimes I would lie down and nap with him, and once in a blue moon once he was out-out I could gently move him and the boppy onto the floor in the living room, but if I tried to set him down in the crib or bassinet he'd wake up flipping out.

It took a few days for him to adjust to being in his crib but after he did he loved it. I now have trouble getting him down for a nap/bed when we travel.

I'm sure there are a million posts about this already, but...

How long did you do it for?
How did you transition LO into their crib/bed?
Did you swaddle when they were still swaddle-able?
What about naps?

I'm having issues with my almost-7-week-old waking up just 10 minutes after going down and repeating the cycle of nurse/rock/sleep/wake for almost two hours each time before he's finally out for two to three hours.

I'm contemplating just putting him in bed with me. DH is an extremely light sleeper and wakes up at 5:30am for work so hasn't been sleeping in our bed, but that's obviously not something we want to continue for long. I don't want co-sleeping to be a reason we don't sleep in the same bed for even longer...

Thoughts? Advice?
