I agree with sling. My husband's primary reason to watch tv is sports. I will caution though, an antenna won't always work to get local channels--we live in a hilly, woodsy area that's a bit outside of the city and can't pick anything up.

Yeah I plan on getting an antenna regardless so we have the basic channels. I just think this will be so much better. We do have "access" to my parent's account number they said we could use for the Disney Junior app and what not. I know we can use that for ESPN too, but I might look into Sling, less hassle that way.

Sling TV! That's how I finally was able to convince DH to get rid of cable. It's $20 a month for the basic package and you get things like AMC and HGTV. For an additional $5 you can get the sports package and it includes all versions of ESPN and the SEC Network. You'll need an antenna to access basic channels on your TV like CBS and Fox. With those 2 things you should be able to watch all the games you want.

So I THINK I finally convinced DH to cut the cable cord and give it a try. We have a Google Chromecast in every bedroom already and have Netflix. WE are going to sign up for Hulu. Our big thing is sports, he wants to still be able to watch sports, how do we make that happen?
