LOVE Oikos! The vanilla is the best.Chobani is nasty to me, not thick enough.

I loove it! I buy Stonyfield and add local maple syrup. So good! They also sell it in smaller packs as a chocolate on the bottom one and it is delicious.

I eat it bc of protein. I buy the plain 2% and make as follows (trust me, is DELICIOUS):

Take 1/2 cup frozen blueberries and put them in a bowl, then microwave for 30 seconds. They defrost and also release a ton of juice. Then mix in 3/4 cup greek yogurt. Add with 1-2tspn honey or maple syrup to sweeten, then mix it all up really well. Then top with 1/4 cup of slivered almonds.

I love this for breakfast because it is a ton of protein, good fat, calcium, antioxidants, and not very much added sugar.

I hate all yogurt, especially Greek yogurt because it has more of the thick sour dairy taste that I don't like! But LO loves it, which is fantastic because it has lots of protein and calcium for him. So he gets full fat Fage all the time, with chopped up fruit mixed in.

I can't get over how much milk it takes to make 1 oz of greek yogurt, and the acid waste. Greek yogurt has been aweeeesome for the industry, but long term the waste part is crazy, and pigs can't cover it all up for us, lol.

For this reason, I don't touch it and stick to regular yog!

I just discovered chobani's flip yogurts - flavored yogurt with granola/nuts/chocolate that mixes in. Seriously, they have changed my life. I'm a super picky eater, and it's hard for me to get a good amount of protein. These have SO much protein for the calories and for how full it makes me feel - they're amazing! They've really helped me with losing weight because I stay full so long.

I promise that I was not paid anything to come post this. Sheesh, I sound like a commercial. But seriously!

Ellenos in Seattle. Yum! Just amazing. They make this passion fruit and lemon curd one that is just wonderful.

I prefer the taste/ thickness of greek over regular yogurt. I don't like how sweet flavored yogurts are, reg or greek.

@bpcmarj: The Whole Foods here has quite a few flavors of Fage greek yogurt. They have the smaller cups or the larger tubs. I get the tubs so that LO and I can both use it for breakfast for a few days :) Yumm.

Greek yogurt tastes too sour for me. I just have never been able to embrace it. I know it would be a good option for a gestational diabetes diet, but I just don't like it. If I add anything to it, it'll just defeat the purpose of it for me!

At first I hated greek yogurt, but now I've grown to really like and and love it. I would start with the Oikos brand it seems to be the least texturally different than the "reg" yogurt. I also like the Mueller brand especially with the carmelized almonds. Yum.

Fage is great too, but only until you've become accustomed to the greek yogurt and texture.

@bpcmarj: I buy mine at trader joes. You have to find one that doesn't say low fat or 0% fat. It has a lot of calories, but also lots of protein...it is a great substitution for sour cream if you only want a little :) I also feed it to LL because of the higher fat.
