Sounds like HFM. :( My LO was really whiny for the first day or two after the spots and she cried and slept a lot more. She came home early on a Thursday and went back to school the following Wednesday.

I hope she feels better soon!

R just had it last week. I had no clue. I thought her fever was from her burst ear drum. She had sores on her throat but then just 4 on her hands. Super mild case but she was still super whinny. Popsicles and Motrin!!

By the time LO had spots the worst of it was over for us. She has blisters in her mouth but she still ate like a champ. The diaper area looked the worst. DH and I felt sick but we didn't get blisters. We kept LO out of daycare until they really dried up - about a week. We could have taken her in sooner I believe but she was switching daycares and we didn't want to bring it to the new daycare.

DD2's daycare just called and said they suspect she has Hand Foot Mouth because she has 2 spots on her left foot and about 15 of them in her diaper area. She doesn't have a fever (but she had a low grade one for 3 days over the weekend).

If this is HFM, what should I be prepared for?
