They allowed the sleep sac with swaddle arms.

They also let us clip a small sleep sheep to the crib. But honestly I don't think the noise helped because the other noises were so loud.

No swaddles without a doctor's note (doctor had no problem writing one at her 6 mo check up, but that was around the we stransitioned out of the swaddle, so she never used it there). They did let her have the "guts" of the sleep sheep - the little battery powered sound box in her crib during nap time. She slept okay but not great at her first daycare...I think it was hard in a small room with a bunch if infants on different schedules. She moved to a different daycare at 11 months and napped much better there. Now at 20 months she takes great 2 hr naps on a cot during th communal nap time. They cover the windows and play soft music.

I don't know about swaddles because we just started at 10 months. They allow sleep sacks, a light blanket & a lovey. The room starts at 6 months so I think if they had itty bitties it might be different.

They play lullabies in the nap area which is also darkened (but not like blackout) but I came in one day when they had some babies down & there was white noise going, not lullabies. That could've been parent request - they are very accommodating.

None of this matters for us because LO has been sleeping in a stroller! At least she takes a nap.

BTW this is a church preschool. I think in our state church based daycares are not subject to all the same regulations as centers.

@LovelyPlum: we have a sleep sheep that we have been sending her. So she gets put in her Zipadee Zip, and she snuggles her sleep sheep while it's on a low volume. She actually naps better at daycare than she does at home.

No swaddles or sacks or loveys in the infant room. They did allow pacifiers and a blanket. I always sent an old receiving blanket with her because of how lightweight they were, but was surprised to see other babies with fleece blankets! They had a CD player in the crib area which they would turn on at times. My daughter napped well in the infant room, but always better at home. Now in young toddlers, her naps are getting even shorter - yesterday was just a half hour!

No swaddled but yes to sleep sacks. They have a white noise machine that they use when any baby is sleeping. In the early days, they let them sleep whenever baby shows signs of bring tired and then later on transition to the one nap in the middle of the day.

No swaddles were allowed per the state unless you had a doctors note. Sleep sacks were allowed. We were allowed to bring in a battery powered white noise that went under her crib.

Ours doesn't allow swaddles or sleep sacks or even loveys in the crib with them. It's light in the room and noisy with the other children - and no white noise. Basically, E doesn't nap. When she gets home, she so tired we put her straight to bed (can be as early as 5.45pm). I was really worried about it at first but it hasn't caused any real issues thank goodness.

@Mamaof2: @autumnlove: @mkp17: @Adira: thank you for sharing! I will definitely ask. I'm sorry your LOs didn't sleep much, but it is good to be prepared. The good/bad thing is that her afternoon.nap is already hit or miss, so not much to ruin there. I am slightly concerned about the morning nap, because she typically falls back asleep around the time I will be dropping her off. Oh well. Guess she will adapt :)

@lawbee11: that would be a big change! LO doesn't sleep in the dark or with a swaddle, so that will be less of one. But it is the white noise I worry about.

@yoursilverlining: that gives me so much hope!

Our infant room has a white noise machine, but I don't know their stance on swaddling.

That being said, Xander's naps at daycare were crap until he went down to one nap a day (and even that is sometimes crap). Napping at different times than other kids just makes it hard for them to sleep I think because they want to see and be involved in what's going on. Good luck. <3

Ours does not allow swaddles, but does allow sleep sacks so that's what we sent. No white noise. Naps in the infant room were hit or miss. She always took one, but they ranged in length from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the day. I definitely think the noise from other babies kept her up as she sleeps in a dark room with white noise at home.

She's now in the toddler room and her naps are much better because they have a designated nap time so it's much quieter.

Our infant room allowed swaddles and had both white noise and soft lullaby music playing, depending on which one they put on. I think the white noise was always on, though.

LO hated swaddling with the fire of 1000 suns, no needless to say, they didn't swaddle her. She slept like crap until she moved to the toddler room. Girlfriend went from 1 20-minute nap a day as an infant to a solid 2-hour nap as a toddler.

no swaddles or white noise at ours. Our first LO didn't nap great in the infant room b/c she was too nosy and didn't want to miss anything. That being said, it did make for early bedtimes and great night sleep :) Once she moved up to the next room where everyone lays down at the same time, she got a little better.
Will see how LO #2 does in a couple of weeks!

Does your daycare allow swaddles? White noise? How well/not well does your baby sleep there?

I know ours does not allow swaddles, but we don't swaddle anymore. I am more concerned about white noise, because she seems to need it to sleep. I'm going to ask on Thursday at our meeting, but I'm curious about other's experiences.
