LO had RSV at 2.5 months old. We were hospitalized because it was so bad. We stayed for three days to get breathing treatments and auctioning. After we went home we continued breathing treatments.

Our pediatrician says it peaks at 5 days and starts to improve after that.

LO got RSV at 3 months. It lasted around a week. We didn't end up with any treatment until we went to the ER for accelerated breathing. ER doc prescribed an antibiotic (our ped said later it probably wasn't necessary). It was a pretty mild case, even though it didn't feel like it at the time. He actually got a worse virus at 5 months that requires breathing treatments.

My LO was diagnosed a week and a half ago. He is 7 months. He is mostly better now but the dr said it can take 2 weeks. He also got an ear infection requiring a second trip to the Dr. We did Tylenol & breathing treatments for the RSV. The cough & mucus were pretty bad, as was his sleep. He stayed out of daycare for 5 days. Good luck mama & I hope your LO feels better soon!

How old was your LO?
10 months

How long did it last?
Hard to say. He had an ear infection two weeks before he was diagnosed. His ped said that it was probably related. Then after we started treatments it went away in another week or so.

What was your treatment plan?
Nebulizer every 4-6 hours, rest, fluids

How severe were the symptoms?
Aside from his ear infection which was awful for him, his coughing and wheezing was fairly mild. It cleared up quickly. He had some cold like symptoms for a little bit but it went away and he never even acted sick.

LO is almost 10 weeks and was diagnosed one week ago. Two days later she started breathing treatments for chest retractions and wheezing. She seems to be improving on the breathing symptoms. But the COUGH! It just won't quit and overnight she got really congested and her eyes were matted with green gunk. We see the pediatrician again on Monday for a re-check.
