@Alivoo01: Hey we are in the same boat, with a 2.5 year old that still doesn't sttn most nights, but it's actually been fine this time around. Baby 2 is a slightly better sleeper, and wakes usually only 1-2 times a night. And LO1 usually wakes 1ish times a night. DH and I just split duties-one of us takes 1 kid, the other takes the other. It's been pretty seemless generally.

My LO was a terrible sleeper for his first 7 months... and then he turned a corner and started STTN. He's 16 months now and has had a few regressions, but overall goes down easily at 7:15PM and wakes somewhere between 6:30 - 7:30AM. But he usually will roll around in his crib and wait for us to get him, which is SO amazing. (fingers cross/knock on wood that I didn't just jinx this!!!)

The vacuum?! Oh man! I would maybe record it and play it through the iPhone or something bc then I couldn't sleep if the vacuum was running all night! LOL!!

DS was a terrible sleeper, and still is now! He started sleeping through the night around 18 months because we weaned him off the bottle then, but a couple months before he turned 2, his sleep went to crap again due to teething and growth spurt.

He's currently 2.5 and I'd say he's STTN probably a month total so far in his life!! (>_<)

And we're about to add a newborn to our lovely non-sleep mix in 3 weeks. Go us!! lol

Oh we provided allll the sleep crutches for DD. Rocking/holding/co-sleeping/nursing to sleep.... Then you get the multiple night wakings, early wake up's, randomly up for 2+ hrs MOTN.... Amazing she started STTN by 8 months and at 14 mo now our sleep is amazing, unless she's sick!

R woke up every 45 mins to 2 hours until 2 months old. And then would be up 45 minutes to 2 hours. And then he still woke up multiple times a night. He didn't start STTN with any regularity until 12 months....and even then it wasn't every night - it would be a week of it, then a few weeks of wakes, etc. It seems his sleep finally truly regulated after we weaned at 13.5 months.

My son was a terrible sleeper! For the first two months of his life, he would only sleep on/next to me, and he would wake up several times a night wanting to nurse. His nursing sessions would be 30 minutes minimum as he was mostly comfort nursing all night long. Naps were the same way. The only way I could get a break was when my husband took him on a car ride. He liked sleeping in his carseat in the car, so sometimes he would just drive him around for a couple hours.

He finally started sleeping on his own in his crib, but he still woke about 2 times a night to nurse until about a year old. Then he woke up once a night until 18 months when he finally slept through the night!

@FaithFertility: my daughter was the exact same way with naps from like 6 weeks-4.5 months when we sleep trained. One day I walked 20km just to get her to sleep. I was SO tired.

My daughter is actually a pretty good sleeper but when she was little she was a nightmare. We sleep trained and that made a massive difference. We're currently going through a nightmare time where she needs to be in my arms to fall asleep (I think separation anxiety is peaking) and she's up multiple times a night with seriously crappy naps during the day. Hoping she gets her sleep mojo back before she goes to daycare in 3 weeks!

2 nights ago, my 2 year old just didn't go to bed. And then didn't nap the next day. She rarely does nap, and my 3 year old hasn't in forever. Overnight sleep is not very long, at least one wake up a night, and they're always up before 6 AM. My kids have such low sleep needs, it's often 4 shot espresso days around here. I hope it changes when they're a bit older!

He's never been quite a nightmare but never been a good sleeper at all. He is turning 3 next month and he still wakes most nights. He won't go to sleep until 930-1000ish and needs us to lay with him until he is asleep. Sleep training attempts were an actual nightmare. He is unbelievably stubborn.

Aww man the vacuum?! Awful!
DD now is 14 months and her sleep generally is really good, although I think we are in a rough patch right now between a cold, the heater on (dries her out), teeth and rash :(

But when she was 2-3 months NAPS were a NIGHTMARE! I would either have a pace the house 1,000 times with her in my arms or go for walks!
If I went into her room she would flip out as if she knew we were going to put her down!

So funny how we forget yet then can never forget!

Let me hear your horror stories. D was a terrible sleeper and napper the first couple months of his life. We would have to run thr vacuum all night in order to get him to sleep  the minute you turned it off, he would wake up. It was awful. Or he had to be nursing all night attached to me. Naps were the same. Now at 17 months he just slept through the night four times this week!!!! But those first couple months will forever haunt me.
