My DD is like this. When she wore onesies Carters and NextDirect were the best. Fir regular clothes, Old Navy and Zara were great.

The Children's Place has pants/shorts with adjustable waistbands in small sizes. Most brands don't start offering adjustable waistbands before 2T. MIL also found our LO some skinny jeans at Kmart with an adjustable waist and some shorts at Walmart. We do a lot of Carter's onesies with adjustable waistband shorts or jeans. I love Carter's pajamas too. LO has always been 99% for height and currently around 20% for weight.

My LO is really tall and slim so I always have to size up on pants and PJs. :/

Target, Carters, and Old Navy onesies are phenomenal for her.

I haven't found a pants solution.

Carter's has been working best for M so far! I prefer sleepers too, and they're the only ones not swimming on her.

My kids are tall and thin-- Carters onesies worked best when they wore them. Old Navy works for us for leggings, dresses, shirts, and only other kinds of pants like jeans, if they have the adjustable waist.

Children's Place, Cotton On, and Carters worked best for us. I love Cotton On's leggings.

DD is 97% for height and 27% for weight. Crazy 8 (kmart, I think? They were gifts) and gymboree pants, with an occasional h and m or target, are the only pants that fit! She has a 9 month waist and 4t legs. I use 9 month leggings as capri pants under dresses, for the third year!

Another thought would be onesie extenders. But I usually do exclusively tops and bottoms. H has a long torso with shorter legs, so in order to get a good length on her tops we go up a size.

Also, Osh Kosh onesies seem to fit nicely on longer babies.

Carters and H&M are great for this.
I avoid Gap entirely, though Old Navy works pretty well for us.

@lilyofthewest: my baby was the same--we called her a banana baby! I am built the same way so I was not surprised. But carters was and continues to be the best fit for her. The carters line at target (just one you I think) is also good for long and lean if you want to save money, and looking for carters at thrift stores helps too.

My LO was almost the same proportions, 40% weight, 90% height. We did lots of shorts and skirts/dresses, because pants are a joke. Most of her onesies were from Target, H&M, and Carter's. Old Navy always seems to fit wide.

Little Pip was lucky enough to be born at a time of year where he can get away with wearing just a diaper 90% of the time for his first few months.

However, on the occasions where he does need to get dressed, it would be nice if his clothes fit less laughably. I don't know how Sweetie and I got a tall baby since neither of us are even average height, but, we did. Pip is tracking along the 80th% for height vs 35th% for weight. Many of the onsies we have seem almost as wide as they are long; it is not a good look for him.

The clothes that seem to fit best are the Gerber and Carter's ones. Are there other brands I should be looking for?
