I also have the Nordstrom debit card as well. While I do think it is possible it could be hacked or stolen and the money would come out of my checking account, my bank has a really good fraud protection program. They are great about contacting me if there is any slight indication of suspicious transactions. They also have a pretty good policy about making funds available during the fraud investigation. Like if my account were hacked, it would be taking money straight out of my pocket, unlike a credit card. </p> <p>I once made the mistake of linking my itunes account to my debit card, and my account got hacked. I literally sat online watching money disappearing out of my checking account, and it took weeks for me to get it refunded. </p>
