@travellingbee: I am thinking about joining Twitter. And I too feel old!

Can someone tell me how it integrates to other media in your life? For ex: I love podcasts so I might not follow NPR. Seems like two of the same thing?! If that makes any sense.
And how did you come up with your "name"! Lol.

I love Twitter but only follow a few close friends. I mostly use it as an article-finding site. So I follow NYTimes (and NYT food!), NPR, the economist, AP, BBC for news, then some individual people like Nate Silver, Jon Favreau, Bill Simmons and columnists that I like and respect their opinion.

I started by following my friends, then I searched for some celebrities I like, and went from there. Local news, Entertainment Weekly. You could do a search of top followers and see if there's anybody you find interesting. The Daily Show has a feed, Trevor Noah, Stephen Colbert, Jessica Williams, Sam Bee. Jesse Williams ios a good one, Aziz Ansari. I like Linda Holmes from NPR's pop culture blog and @fuggirls.

For real, I just got an account, LOL. Feel free to laugh at me- I'm old. What do YOU use it for?How do I find people to follow? I'm liberal, a teacher, enjoy comedy, (especially political comedy like the daily show)- any recommendations?! I feel like I don't really get it but want to. :)
