@Eminthevalley: TJMaxx is my go to for my teacher bags. Both these were under $25 and they are so comfy -but big! My lunch and computer and water bottle are bulky.

@crazydoglady: Haha I'm picturing walking into the classroom with a spray of leaves coming out of my back...

Every teacher I knew had this rectangular tote bag 2 years ago (in different colors). You can stick everything in it. I'm probably the last one who still uses it because it is so practical. Thirty-one sells it but I have a no name brand that a parent gave me but I love it because it zips closed and I can always fit odd shape things in it, including a bunch of papers, my lunch bag, stands up right and easily fits water bottle and laptop. Keys, phone and charger in mesh elastic on the sides. If you use this, you'll look like an old school pro.

I actually use my Lily Jade diaper bag which converts into a backpack.I second a nice leather backpack. maybe something like this (I'm hoping the leaves are optional.)

I use an under armor backpack - fits my laptop and any notebooks, papers, etc...not my lunch though!

It’s pricey but check out the Lo & Sons backpack. It’s simple black so won’t look childish at all - actually really chic and sleek! We have one and my husband and I both use it for travel or when I babywear and I’d rather use a backpack vs shoulder bag.

I have a Lug wheeled bag that is a lifesaver. I’ve used it for years and it holds a ton.

I've used a leather backpack for years. Comfortable like a backpack, but I don't look like a high schooler.

I’ll be teaching third grade this year and it will be my first year teaching. I’m hoping to walk to school a few days a week (10 minutes) and was thinking a backpack might be handy? But I don’t want to look like a kid. What kind of bag or backpack do you use? Needs to hold lunch, probably a laptop and other teacher stuff...please advise!
