I am vaccinated and when I was hired by my board I had to complete a 'medical' (sheet saying I was physically fit to perform the duties of a teacher) for them to keep on file, as well as TB test. Both my husband and I attended public colleges at two different states. We both had to provide immunization records before classes began. I got to wondering, since I see it mentioned in other threads that people don't want to send their children to school with unvaccinated peers. Does your employer ask about your vaccine history?</p> <p>I have never been asked, working at public or nonpublic schools. At my current school, they offer the flu shot one day in the fall, and the nurse encourages us to get it, but it's certainly not required. </p>
