We're team green! We went light blue/aqua and yellow for the nursery. I'm thinking I'll add some "gendered" crib sheets once we know for sure. For now, the sheet is just white.

@shopaholic: I think the idea is they would receive a "boyish" and a "girly" bedding set and then whatever they have, they would return the other.

@Meggo5: Is that right? At any rate, I would go with your original gender-neutral idea, just because it would drive me crazy to not have a fully decorated room!

We got our bedding off etsy (sheets and skirt). We opted not to et one of the sets from a major store because we won't use the quilt or bumpers.

For my LO we have either pink sheets or flowered sheets. We're going to go team green with the next one and I see us purchasing some green sheets and some patterned either green or yellow sheets, either stripes or dots. I guess I'm not too picky with bedding because I don't want the whole set, just the sheets.

My favorite look for a bedroom is painted walls, dark brown wooden furniture and white linens. We went totally in the opposite direction because we're renters, so we had white walls, white furniture and needed to add some color to the room.

We went with an alphabet bedding set from Pottery Barn Kids in green, yellow, orange and browns. The quilt is a wall hanging and we're using the bumpers. The fitted sheets are either yellow, green or blue, depending on what's on the top of the laundry pile!

@Coco Bee: Thanks! His nursery was the labour of many boring night shifts (LOL).

I got my bedding from an Etsy seller, just picked the fabric and decided how to apply it in the room. I liked that it wasn't super "match" but was well co-ordinated,

No matter how much I read about this on the internet, I just do not grasp why people think an infant needs to have a nursery decorated in a particular way based on its gender. Decorate the nursery however appeals to you. You're the one who cares what it looks like.

@MrsCastro: @shopaholic: Thanks! I have actually done a lot more decorating in there recently (some art on the walls, and stuff like that) so it looks a lot more finished now. I should chase DH in to take finished nursery pictures.

Not quite sure how the getting two sets and returning the one you like less is bad? Maybe I'm just not understanding?

I have seen some of the most gorgeous neutral bedding/nurseries in those creams and beige tones or with grey and yellow. If I were going Team Green, I'd probably go with something like these!

We were not team green but I was not super excited about team blue for a while, so our nursery is neutral and I love it.
It has snails and frogs and bees, and is light yellow and light green. Then I just use receiving blankets to cover the changing table (and those Boppy waterproof thingies on top of that)--so I can very quickly change the "look"
The wall decor is mostly photos. :)

We went with green. We got the Harper bedding from PB kids in green. Sheets are green with white polka dots and the crib skirt and quilt are white with a green border. I love a classic preppy look so it was perfect for me. When LO gets here we will probably decorate the walls with accents of pink or blue depending on what we get.

At 33 weeks I am still having some trouble choosing our bedding! I had settled on choosing a gender neutral nursery theme (lots of safari animals, but in softer colors) but now I have received an offer of getting two separate sets and returning one. While I like this idea, I am nervous that I will like one better than the other! Also, this prevents us from decorating the nursery any more than the furniture which is finally in, and that might be frustrating.

Any advice or words of wisdom?! Any other Team Green-ers out there struggle with the bedding-- and what did you do?!
