@winter_wonder: I had this simple thing at my last job to allow my laptop to be the second screen and it's a great space saving device for home: https://www.amazon.com/3M-Vertical-Compact-Non-Skid-LX550/dp/B0006HVM4A/ref=sr_1_34?keywords=laptop+stand+for+second+screen&qid=1578501661&sr=8-34
Regardless of your set up I highly recommend getting an external mouse/keyboard. WAAAY better for ergonomics

If you are using Windows, make sure the display settings are set to "extend desktop" not "duplicate display" which a lot of laptops default to.

I have the same set up as @Madison43. I plug the HDMI cable from the monitor directly into my lap top in my home office. Super easy! I love having a second screen.

It’s super easy. This is how I work at home. You just need a computer monitor. You can either plug the monitor directly into the laptop; or buy an adaptor that allows you to make the connection. My old laptop had an HDMI port that I plugged the monitor cord directly into; my new laptop only has USB ports so I have an adaptor.

I have a technology question that I need help with. I use two screens and absolutely love it. I'm wondering if it's possible for me to rig up some sort of system like this at home but using my laptop as one of the screens? I just feel so much more productive when I have two screens going. Help! Is this even possible?
