YES. It's been a month of nonstop TV, mostly football, since we've had family stay with us. I've noticed LO now demands that we turn on the TV whenever it's off. Life is back to normal today - family has gone back home, everyone's back to work! - so I'm making sure the TV stays off all day.

We had to do this DURING the holidays. We went to grandparents house and they let LO use the ipad, iphone, turned it to whatever she wanted on tv so she expected it once we got home. Well we had to have an intervention and no cartoons or technology for a couple days. We had A LOT of tantrums but she got over it.

Our is an iPhone junkie, our best way of tackling it is keeping them out of sight.

@looch: I plan to keep him super busy too!

The one exception to the new rule will be football on New Years.

Yes, we're dealing with the same thing. My strategy is to occupy him so that he doesn't even think about asking for the iPad.

Today, it's warm enough to take him outside to ride his bike, so he's doing that for part of the day.

We definitely let LO watch a lot of tv last week because he was really sick, and then I got sick...luckily, we were at a different house, and are home now, so I'm hoping he won't make the connection between tvs! (probably too much to hope for).

We have been too lenient with T the last few weeks with media. We have had 2 cross country trips (literally 14 hours of travel each way) and then family in town for a week. And he was sick! He's gotten iPad use, tv time, and iPhone use basically on demand. But now he's demanding it all the time! Our house guests leave today and we are starting boot camp. No cartoons, no playing monkey preschool lunch box, no talking tom cat. He's going to be mad!! He's 19 mos.

Anyone else's kiddo over mediad over the holidays? Are you taking a break now?
