Fines would end up being paid by the parents and obviously the city can't force the parents to make the kid work to pay them back, and I don't know about additional charges - I wouldn't want a stupid teenage act to mess up the rest of his life with a criminal record. Sure they're "petty" but they're also so needless. One of my biggest pet peeves are people that break/destroy other peoples' things for no good reason.</p> <p>I once saw a teenager walking down a street bending the antennas on cars for no reason at all. What the hell? WHY? There was also the year a bunch of college students threw our Christmas decorations in to the lake for fun I suppose.</p> <p>I wish that we'd crack down on crimes like this in general, even if committed by a teenager.
