I had the same problem with my son and I used Silverette silver cups. Silver is a natural antibiotic and antibacterial, so it prevents and heal scratches and cuts. Your nipples will heal in 24 hours.
Also, you have to try not to scream (I did!!) and only say NO NO in a soft and nice way, in order not to scare your LO... If she bites the nipple you should stop the feeding, say NO and wait 10 minutes, and then start again...That's what I was doing and it worked out.

Good luck!

That sounds brutal! We've had some scraping, but it generally doesn't last more than a few days. Good luck!

Is she old enough to understand if you tell her "ouch ouch" when she does something that bothers you? We had short periods of time (1-2 weeks at a time), where teeth caused problems, but they generally passed and it went back to normal.

Good luck, Mama!

Or at least, the end of my nipples. Ugh. Lucy, almost 10 months, is destroying one of my nipples with her teeth. She's not biting, but she's scraping her teeth along the nipple and the surrounding skin. She has four teeth, and I think another one on the way. This started almost two months ago when she was getting her top teeth, and got better for a while (though never totally went away), and now it's agonizing again. Lifting her up higher to nurse doesn't seem to make a difference, nor does un-latching and re-latching. I can sit her up on my lap to nurse instead of laying across my lap, and that helps, but it's not an option for night feeds. We are SO CLOSE to making it a year ebf, I don't want to give up now, but I'm really struggling and I don't know what to do! I've thought about using a nipple shield until it can heal - thoughts?
