I haven't experienced the refusal yet, but my mom said that when I was a baby, I had 4 teeth come in at the same time and I refused the breast and bottle and I had to go straight to a sippy cup. She suggested to try giving him a cold teether to chew on before giving the bottle and see if that helps.

Hope your LO feels better soon :-(

It was very normal behavior for our son. Even at almost 18 months he'll stop wanting to eat when he is really hurting from teething. We usually offer things like yogurt or frozen fruit so the cold soothes his gums.

We went on our first vacation this week to the beach & LO was so fussy. He was crabbing 24/7, whiney... then I finally saw a little tooth coming up!
I've been able to keep him comfy with Tylenol, baths, naps & nursing but he refuses a bottle and baby food. Is this normal for a teething baby?
