It sounds exactly like my LO when her teeth start cutting through the gums. It's so frustrating, but I keep in mind that the pain they're going through is something adults wouldn't be able to handle. So, although it interrupts what precious sleep I actually get, I go ahead and snuggle with her and try to comfort her. It's only for a short time and then she goes back to her normal sleep after a week or so.

Hey guys! LO has been getting a tooth now for a few weeks and this past week, night waking has been terrible! She goes to sleep just fine between 730-8 but has been waking around 12-1 fussy and clingy. Ive tried orajel, Tylenol, and hylands but no change. She usually falls right back to sleep once she gets a little snuggle, but she wakes back up the minute I lay her down. A few times she woken up wide awake and in a pretty good mood. Once I do manage to get her back to sleep, we repeat the process about every hour until wake up time. I let her fuss for about half an hour but any longer than that isn't really an option because if she's awake, then so am I.

Her tooth has started to break through the gums this week. nd I was wondering if this is typical sleep pattern when teething or something I'm missing?

ETA: she's 6 months btw if that helps
