Sleep goes down the crap hole during this time. Once it breaks through, it's better, but it's not all better until a good amount of the tooth is out. But, teeth usually come in pairs, so you might find that recovering from this first one just rolls into the second one. Also, some for some babies the teeth go up a bit, stop, up a bit, go down a bit and so on. So it seems to take forever. He will not let me in his mouth to look at it, but I can feel a sharp little tooth just slightly poking through. Since then he has been inconsolable at night unless dosed up on calpol, and he is off his solids.</p> <p>What is everyone's experience of how long it takes for the tooth to be up and the teething to be done (for this tooth anyway!) once it has broken through the gum? </p>
