Tylenol is the only thing that helps R. Teething rings, wash cloths, teething tablets, etc nothing else works. So if she was super fussy and eating her hands a lot during the day, we would give it to her. We have been teething since August straight.

We definitely give Pediacare when she's in obvious pain. She likes the frozen teething toys but they defrost so quickly. Sticking a finger in her mouth and rubbing her gums works while waiting for the Pediacare to kick in. Poor baby. Hopefully his teeth come in soon!

We alternate Tylenol and Motrin at night when he is in pain. We also use the Hyland's natural oragel.

He hates the teething tablets but I've heard great things from others!

Cold wet washcloths, sophie, nursing a lot. Distracting with fun like hugs and dancing or toys and games.

@Pepper: Yeah, I gave her a frozen washcloth and she was not at all interested. I did give her Tylenol a couple of nights-- she was screaming and I thought they MUST be about to break through, then, nothing. If I'm sure it's the teeth I don't mind giving it to her but like you, I don't want to do it all the time.

@heartonastring: Haha I've considered getting one but I feel like he'd just try to rip it off! Every time he has a bib on he pulls at it.

@Silva: Yes, I can see the white buds! One looks pretty close... I wasn't sure how long it would take. I'm going to do Tylenol at night I think. Frozen bagels are genius actually!

@Mamadee: I've seen a lot about Hyland tablets. Might need to try those if they help.

@Foodnerd81: I bought him a cloth teether that I half froze and he was not thrilled! He loves Sophie too, maybe I should stick her in the fridge!

Hyland's teething tablets and an amber teething necklace. Not sure if the latter actually works, but I'm not taking that thing off!

Cold wet wash cloths! We also got the ok to use ibuprofen so we would alternate that with acetaminophen. But since we've been using Hyland's tablets, the teething has gotten a lot better. Still no teeth though :(

Can you see the teeth? I used frozen teething rings, wet washcloths, etc. but if she was really suffering I have no problem giving acetaminophen. Once we could see the teeth about to push through I'd give it to her at bedtime regardless. But that only lasts maybe 3 days?
Some of her teeth have really bothered her...with the first one she was inconsolable without acetaminophen. But she got her top four all at once, and we barely noticed.

Eta: our doc suggested frozen bagels!

Following this! C loves chewing on her Sophie but not the cold teething toys so much. I made breast milk ice cubes and put them in a mesh feeder which she liked, not sure if it helped though.

I also bought boiron Camilia but haven't used it yet since the teething pain seems to have stopped for now.

What do you do to soothe sore gums? LO is getting his first teeth right now. 4 are apparently coming in at once. I can tell he's uncomfortable, but I don't want to rely heavily on Tylenol. Especially since it could take awhile til they break through.

So, tell me your remedies!
