@regberadaisy: StorkBitesBaby for mine. They were less than $10 for the pair and really well made! I got the snaps with the flannel back.

@MenagerieMama: @Littlebit: which seller did you use? Some sellers are only $10 which isn't bad!

@Foodnerd81: I hear you! But my straps are soaked and my shirt included within 15 minutes of wearing her. She's a serious drooler! It was never a problem with DD1.

We have a pair from etsy, they are life savers with my drooler! It saves us from having to wash the carrier constantly, I just throw the suck pads in the wash. We haven't had any bleeding or anything.

We have some adorable ones from Etsy. The cute print side is out and no issues with dye bleeding. Really glad we went the etsy route, half the price and super cute.

I'm considering buying a pair- I'm sure the fabrics are prewashed or at least tested to make sure they're safe. Etsy seems to be much more reasonably priced compared to buying from the actual carrier site, but I'm not sure about quality.

C chewed on the straps of our brown beco gemini and they faded and discolored. I started just putting a pair of baby legs on the straps for her to chew instead since they were easier to wash. Not organic but they had been washed a few times and I felt ok. I couldnt see paying $20 for a washcloth with velcro, pretty much.

We didn't because i'm SURE if i had put something back there with the intention for her to suck on, she would purposely avoid it ;)

I imagine they're washable so if you're concerned about the dye (surely your kid sucks on bibs and your shirt sometimes?), you just wash and dry it. Colors from fabrics (esp cotton) only really bleed the first time in hot water. I've never had a problem with any of my fabrics (i sew, so i wash before i sew) bleeding.

So by pure chance I saw on the beco site that they sell teething pads that go over the shoulder straps. DD likes to suck on the straps when she's in the Beco and I know I shouldn't wash it too often.

Did anyone use one?

I like the Beco ones because it's 100% organic cotton and just plain white. But they're kinda pricey. I saw that Etsy has them and some sellers are much more affordable! My only hesitation is the etsy ones have cute prints. But they're printed so I'm afraid with dd sucking on them she would ingest the dye? Or is the minky side supposed to face out?

Anyone use teething pads before?
