extra clingy crankiness, drool, and a runny nose! This lasted about 2 weeks before the tooth popped through, and about a week before I saw that telltale gray line that @Silva: mentions.

@Mrs. Bee: My older two LO's showed signs with slight fevers but their sleep wasn't effected as much as hers seems to be.

And she isn't going with the 'norm' we suspect (we being her Pedi and us) she's getting her top two first.

I kept thinking she was teething. But then one day I saw a little gray/silver line on her gums. That week was when she was actually teething- trying to get the tooth through. The first one didn't upset her sleep much (although, to be fair, she's a terrible sleeper so I'm not sure I would have noticed), but she had a couple huge meltdowns that week where she was frantically grabbing at her mouth/shoving stuff in there and just screaming. And she is never fussy/ typically very happy going. I remember for about three nights I just had to walk her around our apartment singing for about an hour.

The second tooth wasn't a problem.

I think her bottom teeth showed up with no warning, I just saw the first hint of them one day.
But, I had thought she was teething about 10x before that (she didn't get her first teeth until after 9mo) because of symptoms like yours that would come and go!

neither charlie nor olive showed many symptoms of teething. i thought charlie would cut a tooth for months because he was drooling so much. but both of them pretty much got all their teeth (including molars) without it really affecting them.

teething is kind of a catch all for anything that affects baby's behavior, but so much is going on in a baby's life... i think just normal development can affect sleep and behavior a lot. then again maybe i just had weird babies that didn't have teething affect them.

hope you can figure out what's going on and your lo goes back to her normal self soon! how old is she?

Her sleep went to total crap when she got her 1st two teeth. So bad that we had to resleep train cause she got use to us coming in at night. She normally would nurse and fall right back asleep no issue. But there were many nights that she would thrash back and forth in our arms trying to get asleep but was just hurting.

Hugs! The 1st two teeth were awful (bottom) but her two middle top weren't bad. She is now working on 2 more top ones, and they are taking their sweet little time, but they haven't been too bad.

Ok, so Anna has always (well almost always) been a sleeping champ. I know I'm lucky and this isn't a post complaining about her sleep issues. But, her 'poor' sleeping is part of a cluster of things that I'm starting to believe may be the dreaded teething monster.
Here's what's going on:
She's gone from STTN, like 10 to 12 hours to waking up within an hour of going down and not sleeping soundly the rest of the night.
She's a bit more clingy but not all the time
And as of this morning at 2am, she's developed a fever no higher than 101 but she was a furnace!
She was up off and on every half an hour after that.
DH and I suck and didn't realize that she was fevered until this morning because she's very 'hot' normally.
She has NO cold like symptoms and honestly isn't acting too different.
Her face is flushed a bit but she's still smiley.

So lovelies, can you please share your first tooth/teeth experiences and 'symptoms' your LO showed??

I've attached a poll in case that helps but comments are very welcomed as well.

Thanks!!!
