I've read rave reviews for the hyland teething tablets.

I will second @brownie re: the amber teething necklace. 1.5 months ago my LO was a screaming fussy mess who drooled non-stop and gnawed on me while nursing like crazy. I bought him a light colored amber necklace and I've seen a huge difference!

Have you tried an amber teething necklace? It seems to help my little guy. You could try pure vanilla extract the alcohol is supposed to help. Just rub it on the gums (just a little)

@mrsjazz: oo! Thanks! Good to know! I went and pick up some Hylands just in case it gets worse.

@Nskillet: I'm also the type to refrain from using meds but wanted to get some feedback before it gets worse.. =( thanks for your input!

@BabyBoecksMom: ook good to know! I didn't think it was something urgert to contact our doctor and we still have a few weeks before the next check up!

We were told to try the homeopathic tablets and medicine first and then go to Tylenol. The Tylenol really made the difference for us.

I say get the hylands or orajel/ambesol just use with discretion? My LO is also teething and if I can in any way ease her discomfort I will. I am very conservative with the use of them and do try soothing her other ways before resorting to them.

I have no experience with teething yet but I wanted to say don't get orajel. I saw something on the news about a safety warning and products with the active ingredient posing a danger to kiddies.

Not to toot my own horn but I do have to admit that my LO has been an easy baby.....until these past few days! He's definitely teething. My main concern is that each time he breastfeeds or bottle feeds, he has really little and then fusses. I've tried teethers, cold washcloth, Icing my finger, his favorite blanket...I don know what else to do. I haven't tried medicine yet because he calms almost instantly when I carry him but only that. Laying next to me or sitting on my lap ( facing me or out) will start the fussiness again. Any suggestions? Should I just go and get baby orajel or Hylands?
