I don't have the ones you mentioned but I have the Tivoli High. I really like the way they look but they are not warm enough for me when it is very cold out. I wear them when I am shoveling or when it is cold but not too cold (which is weird, for snow boots!). The plus side is that they are very lightweight. I know most Sorel's are pretty heavy.

@Ginabean3: Another vote for the Tofinos! I just got them yesterday and can't wait to make use of them. Compared to the Joans, and they were so much lighter and slimmer. the Joans made me feel like I was wearing clumsy clown shoes. I also tried the 1964's and they fit like the Joans. There's another one, Tivoli fits like the Tofinos too. If it's easier, you could also order from Zappos or Shoebuy and tried them on at home since they offer free return shipping.

@kick641: @Andrea: thanks ladies! I'm going to try to find a place where I can try on first....I was just trying to buy them online because online shopping is so much easier for me vs dragging along a wiggly worm toddler!

@Ginabean3: I have the Joan of Arctics, and if all the boots fit the same, I would recommend trying to find a place to try them on? They just fit very close to the foot, and my first pair I tried on the right size but a piece about ankle height in the heel dug in and hurt after a few steps. I had to switch to the Joans to fix that. I can't remember what I tried on first but it was definitely a problem with my foot/ankle shape.

Edit: I own the Tofinos, I tried on the Joans and they didn't work for me. I am terrible with names. I originally went in looking for Joan of Arctic boats and had to switch. I guess I've been telling myself that's what I've got because I was so set on them. But then I googled the Tofinos to see what they looked like and noticed they looked like identical to mine! And I've been in snow deep enough to touch the fur and its always looked nice

@Andrea: thank you for your advice on fit...I was wondering about that....I've read reviews saying that they run large but I feel like whenever I listen to those review and order size up or down I'm better off ordering my normal size...but I will listen to your recommendation! I'm usually a 6.5, so 6....yeah?

I have the 1964s CVS boots. I have only ever used them in light snow and I don't find them to be too heavy. I ordered half a size down and they fit great. Love them.

@Ginabean3: Well, I wouldn't say I've walked dragging them through snow up to the fur part - so the fur still looks the same. Here's they are about 2 years old? But again, I only wear them in Mammoth, and Big Bear never gets quite as much snow? ETA: pic deleted.

I have the Joan of Arctic. They are definitely heavy and clunky, but my feet stay warm and dry, which is what I wanted. The first winter I had them I wore them a ton because we had lots of snow and below freezing temps. Last winter they didn't get much use since it was mild. I definitely don't regret the purchase.

I have the Tofino, which I only use in Mammoth. I love it. It's pretty light and cute. I've worn it in several feet of snow & on hikes (so it was pretty comfortable).

I have the Joan boots, and I agree with @matador84: good gracious, are they heavy! I bought them off of a recommendation from here, I think. I agree that they're great for keeping my feet warm, but I'm actually in the market for some lighter boots. I can't handle the heavy!

Specifically the Sorel Women's 1964 PAC Graphic 13 Snow Boot.

Do you have them? Love them? Hate them? How's the fit?

Do you think they are more practical for light snow use vs tall Sorels (ex. Joan of Arctic)?
I will only be using them for family vacations up at Big Bear Mountain (California).
Thanks!
