I did a lot of carters rompers/creepers for summer time since it's really hot here, and they also did water play outdoors in the summer so the school requested onesies. Dresses just wouldn't have been practical for us since they would have been ruined by self-feeding and not that play-friendly.

I'd probably put something on under the dresses also just for purposes of preventing access to her diaper so she can't learn to undo the tabs and take it off. Either bloomers or leggings or something.

Lots of dresses and romper/creepers! We always send her in socks and leg warmers but they don't stay on long!

I had so many cute outfits that were either gifted or bought 2nd hand, and not enough events outside of daycare for her to wear them. So, I started to send her in nice clothes so they would be worn at least once before she grew out of them. If it's a dress, I usually just put socks on her w/o shoes. And I always keep a pair of leg warmers in her bag in case her legs get cold.

My LO isn't there yet but I think as long as she's walking send her in the dresses. If she was still crawling I would want her to have something on her legs to keep her clean/protected.

What do you send your lo to daycare in during the summer? I have a ton of dresses in storage for her that are size 12 months (which will be this summer). If I send her to daycare in a dress in the summer, does she wear anything on her legs or does she just wear socks and shoes under it?

Do I keep the dresses (they're all hand-me-downs or bought used) for weekends only and send her in pants and tee shirts (that I will have to buy)?

She will be 12 months in June.
